Ponderings

It's been raining all day today, but luckily I'm studying really hard right now, so I don't have time to go out anyway.

In my study breaks I look around at other blog platforms, I think I'll change from blogg.se because I often blog from my cellphone and blogg.se's blogapp is hopelessly bad.

And since blogg.se is a small Swedish blog portal, there is no alternative apps, like blogpress, either.
Also thinking about starting to write in English instead so that everyone, including my foreign friends, can understand what I write... Hmm, it might be a good idea. Well we'll see.

If anyone got any tip for a good blog portal with a great blog app to match, tell me kay?

(edit: This was before I switched to blogger, the posts were all in swedish before but have been translated)

Sleep rhytm

As of Thursday, all my lessons begin 8:15 and even the exam on Wednesday will be an early morning, so I try to change my sleep rhythm back a few hours from what it is now.

archive picture

Luckily, it was time to turn back the clock yesterday, which meant that I got to sleep an hour longer. I woke up earlier yesterday than I thought, and took the opportunity to go to bed earlier yesterday - as soon as I got tired. So today I got up without the alarm clock just after eight. So now it's only an hour left to the target get-out-of-bed-time - an hour before the lesson begins.

Go go wayu ;)

A beautiful autumn day

Woke up again today to a beautiful sky :) it's sunny and getting chilly with only 6 degrees outside - a perfect fall day! I'll probably drag Robert with me for a walk today :) luckily I bought a new warm and cuddly beanie! Maybe I'll finally be able to use it for the first time today ^ ^ <3

Nice weather is always so nice to wake up to!

Japanese street fashion

So I looked around a bit online and found a real nice page showing Japan's street fashion :)

When I was there I didn't walk around as much in Harajuku and Shibuya as I had wanted. However, it was heaven! Every shop had really nice and cute things and there were cute people everywhere <3
I really felt at home in Tokyo and long to go back there all the time <3 So to check on their street fashion makes me extremely happy and nostalgic <3

Switching lenses

In the package that I received the other day there were new lenses to little blind me :) And why is it special then? On the one hand - no.
On the other hand, it is the first time I ordered home monthly lenses :)

I have since I had to get lenses (in seventh grade, I think) always had disposable lenses. When I was with my father at the optician to get my first lenses I pointed out that monthly lenses were cheaper, but Dad thought I was too careless to have monthly lenses that you have to wash and stuff, and I can not argue with him - after all, in retrospect, I managed to Slightly damage my cornea, even with daily disposable lenses (they healed in a week - not permanently damaged or anything) so monthly lenses were probably a good idea to avoid. Then I got used to the simple daily disposable contact lenses, and I've gotten used to the price when I started paying them myself. But when I moved to Örebro everything became increasingly expensive (my own lair, traveling back and forth to Stockholm every weekend, bus pass in Örebro + trips in Stockholm ... well you get the picture: p) and to make it easier, I bought three packs of daily disposable lenses every time - One box at roberts place, one box at my  parents place and one box to my place in Örebro. The purchase costs every three months about 800kr (about 115 dollars) Ouch in the wallet!

So this time I ordered monthly lenses for three months (6 lenses) + lens solution and container and it cost me not even 300kr! (about 43 dollars) HUGE difference!

I Have tried the lenses now and washed and everything and it works fine so far and it is wonderful!

Startpackage for monthly lenses from lensway

And for you who also buy your lenses online and live in sweden, don't forget to log on to your lensproviders website through allt om linser so you get free shipping!

When you have a boyfriend who's a dentist

Robert went off to school today (way too early by the way, six in the morning is not a humane time to get up. Who came up with that time anyway? :P That person should be punished :P) But I didn't have to get up as I don't have any classes today, so instead I slept in.

When I woke up and stretched out on the bed something rustled beside me. This is what I found beside me:

Robert had left me a cute little plushie <3 It's a tooth by the way, even though it might be a little hard to see xD I guess when you have dentist for a boyfriend, that's the kind of plushie's you get haha :)

Out from the packing and ready for cuddling duty!

So now I'm going to cuddle with it until my sweetheart gets home so I can cuddle with him instead <3

It was such a sweet way to wake up I must say <3

Play-Dough

I baked some syrup-cookies when I got home from the seminar.
I thought the cookie jar looked so sad and empty so it was time to fill it again with some newly baked cookies :)

Also I don't have a mixer yet, so I have to use my hands when kneading the dough. Then again, that's the way I've always done it since I was little so it's not really a big loss, plus it's fun when it gets a little messy ;)

Me playing with the dough, a little mess never hurt anyone ;)

My filled cookie jar. Omnomnom <3

And the cookie jar was filled to the brim too! Perfect :) So now I'm gonna eat some cookies ;)

On my way!

And so this week's psychology classes are over! :)
As usual, it means a bicycle ride home, an excessive chill period with some random series and lazy surfing on the net - total relaxation - and then proceeding to total panic when it's ten minutes until the bus to the train leaves and I have not yet begun packing... Yup, a regular day in my world ;)

The timetable for my buss are changed to the winter table now so the buss went ten minutes earlier than I expected - which meant that I didn't have time to eat anything, so I had to buy a sandwich at Pressbyrån (kinda like 7/11) before I got on the train.

But oh well, Stockholm here I come ^ - ^

The night...

I was supposed to get up at eight o'clock this morning to go to the seminar at the University and with my group lead the discussion on risk-taking in teenagers and so I went to bed pretty early to get my nine hours of sleep (yupp, I'm one of those who need a lot of sleep: P). But when I got into bed one of the neighbors began playing music with really a really loud base (can't even say it was good music, either - I mean if you are going to disturb your neighbors why not put on something good?: P) so it was a bit difficult to sleep.

I was too much asleep to locate the neighbor that disturbed my night sleep but alert enough to not be able to sleep through the noise. I wondered if I should reach for the phone and call the police, but felt that the noise might not have been so acute that 112 (911 in America) would be the right number to call - so instead I lay there half asleep, listening to really bad house.

Needless to say - I did not get the sleep I needed ^ ^ '

Anyway, the seminar went well, so now I just need to study for the exam on the 31st and well ... then  the next study-cycle begins again: P

When you're tired everything looks like a good place to sleep...

Hope my readers have slept well at least :P

Old goodie ♥

I've got an old goodie in my head and I can't get rid of it!

Anyone remember Lena's satellite? Nice beat, special voice (or maybe accent: P) and catchy chorus. So now since I can't get it out of my head, I thought I'd torture you with the same first world problem haha;) <3

Enjoy <3

Btw, is it just me or is she seriously awkward-cute? <3

Tried out Frida's braid

So I saw Frida's braid on blogg.se's frontpage and thought it was really pretty, and seemed pretty easy to do, so of course I just had to try it out!

I also made it with a little twist, instead of having the ponytail on the back of the head I made a low, side ponytail. I'm normally not very good at hairdo's but this one was simple, and I think it turned out great too. I love hairdo's that are pretty and are simple enough that even I can make them! <3

So, what do you think? :)

Homemade Chicken Teriyaki

Made homemade Chicken Teriyaki for dinner today, it was reeeeeally good and very simple too! The marinade only took a few minutes to do, and after the chicken had sucked up all the goody goody flavour it only needed ten minutes of cooking time! Perfect, simple and so amazingly good :)

And of course there was leftovers too, so tomorrow I will have even more delicious teriyaki hihi <3

Package delivery

The day started when I went to Örebro University and met my current group for the seminar tomorrow. We will lead the seminar and prepare some discussion questions - nothing big.

I expected, therefore, that we would be done in a maximum of one hour so I could go home and go out on a photoshoot round, but it took a full three hours! And yet we were still not entirely done. We mostly just joked around and did nothing, but then again - that's not wrong either.

So once I got home the sun had already started to set, so I threw my stuff in the room and went out, but unfortunately the light was not as good as earlier in the day so it was not quite as I imagined. But I did get some pictures anyway, so maybe I will show them later.

A Package for me had arrived when I got home :)

When I got home there was a package for me on the table, so now I'm going to eat some dinner and then open my package :)

Song of the day

The Korean wave has finally reached Sweden! Recently, Gangnam Style have been played everywhere!, even on the Swedish radio! Something that really surprised me when I heard it on the radio about a month ago! I was really happy and sang along while my family, wondered what song it was what language he was singing in! I was of course extremely happy thar stuff I listen to is actually played on the radio (I like Swedish and English songs as well, but my Asian preferences usually don't play on the radio, so it was special)

Then I noticed that a new nightclub would open up in Stockholm that would only play Kpop, I really wanted to go, but unfortunately it was the weekend before an exam so I didn't have time for anything but studying! However, it seems that Kpop Nonstop (which the club is named) will kick off again in November so I hope I can go then! : D It would be really really fun! : D

So anyway, in the spirit of the Korean wave I give you a Korean song by Hyuna which always makes me happy ^ - ^

 Hope you enjoyed!

If you could buy all the shoes you wanted

If I was rich and had my own walk-in closet for shoes, I would easily be able to fill it with goodies <3
As it is now I dream about them instead and just buy some, but it works too ;)

Anyway, I put together a little list of shoes I drooled at a bit today. So frickin' pretty <3

What shoes and brands are you drooling over?

Dove intense repair overnight creme review

A few weeks ago I found a night-time hair mask that is said to return a whole month of lost protein to the hair in one night! I usually don't have hair masks overnight because it usually tends to mean a plastic bag on the head (to avoid the mask from getting on the pillow) that rustles in the night so you can't sleep - but this mask would apparently be sucked into the hair so no bag would be needed!
And since it wasn't very expensive and it was a brand that usually works well with my hair, I bought it and tested. I have now had the product in my hair one night a week since then and it has worked great! :)

The first time I used it my hair became a little hard, but because I have used protein masks before I know it can become a little hard when the hair is soaking up a lot of protein, with a little hair oil the hair became soft again though. But after the second and third time the hair didn't become hard, but just felt nice and vibrant again :) The bottom of my hair is unfortunately very worn because I used to dye my hair red every now and then and then bleach it back to my usual blonde hair again ... After a few such sets of dyeing and bleaching it became pretty worn. Now I'm growing it out again and am slowly cutting off the worn parts in installments at my hairdresser.

In any case,  my hair needs all the care it can get until the worn part is gone! And this product works great :)

I woke up this morning after having it in my hair overnight and after brushing out my hair it looked like this:

So what's the product? :) Some expensive hairdresser brand? Nope, it's a sweet little bottle of Dove's intense repair series called just "intense overnight repair cream" and it is very worth it since you don't have to use that much in your hair for it to work. It is not particularly expensive either - it costs between 40-50kr and you can get it at your local store, like ICA or Coop, or any other regular grocery stores that sell Dove.

Overall rating from me is 4 out of 5 hearts

From Yoga to Ab workout

I went to the gym to do some Yoga, but when I got there I saw the last on in the queue walk into the room so I hurried in with the others and removed my jacket. But when I went to get a yoga mat all the others also got some weights and some kind of big rubber band with handles, so I understood that I was not in yoga class. But I was already there and I don't mind doing something else so I also grabbed an orange rubber band and a 1.5kg dumbbell and waited curiously to see what class I was in.

It turned out that I had walked into the wrong room and thus instead of Yoga which was in the next room I had walked into a class called CxWorx - an intensive core workout. So I guess I'll be aching tomorrow!

Wel that's what happens when you forget to check which room the class is in, but then again it was kind of fun so I think I might just go to this class again ^^

The dream of old fashioned romance...

I went around to different grocery stores today to get food and found some fun stuff at ÖB :)
I found a lot of pretty stuff with old fashioned romance theme <3 Cream white, pink, brown and roses - wonderful <3 When I move to my own apartment (right now I live in a shared apartment with two random people, sharing the kitchen and bathroom) I can finally (and will!) furnish my apartment the way I want to :) <3

Towel with roses, heartshaped pillows with roses and small balls on the side, an old fashioned "maison de florette" wall clock as well as a very pretty canvas painting with different romantic motives.

I wanted to buy them so much but I managed to restrain myself, I think I'm going to buy the painting though, I can put it up on my wall, but I got around on my bike so it will have to be another time - it's hard to cycle home with a gigantic canvas painting.

So instead, except for the food, I bought a cute little cookie jar for only a few kronor to put my newly baked cookies in :) <3

It had to do to get rid of my shopping need ;)

booked a haircut appointment

So now that october's here it's time to cut my hair again so I don't get split ends. Also, I'm trying to bit by bit cut off all the old colored-bleached-colored-then bleahed again hair, while saving to get long hair again. It's been many years now since I've had long hair, and I kinda miss it so I decided to save out my hair again. Luckily, my hair grows like weed so it won't take too long ;)

To help me with my hair I have the worlds cutest and best hairdresser ever - Ermina! (And btw, I LOVE her name <3) So now I've booked an appointment with her the 20th <3

It will be awesome! My hair is never so pretty as when I've been to Ermina's

Oh, and Ermina works at Cupcake Hair in Stockholm, so if you need to get your hair cut at a great hairdresser, go there and you will definitely come out with fabulous hair ;)

Halloween must be coming

Running around grocery shopping in different stores and it's halloween stuff everywhere!

Is it already time for halloween? It made me realize that I have absolutely no idea what to dress up as this year... That might be something to think about? :P

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies ♥

I had some leftover frozen cookie dough from before so I decided to do a little bit och speed-baking right before midnight ;)
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies is a great dough to freeze in after you've made it so when you've got a craving for newly baked cookies you just pull the dough out of the freezer, cut it in pieces and pop them in the oven - simple and easy!

Here's the recipe:

The recipe will give you about twice as many cookies as in the pictures since I only had a little leftover dough left ;)
Also note that I didn't have dark chocolate at home so I used light chocolate - but that worked great and I bet white chocolate or a mix will work too!

Back to Örebro!

It's been a calm morning, not much have been done, if anything.
But I guess that's the way it should be, you know the weekend after a big test.
So way to late in the day I pulled myself away from the anime-watching with Robert, got out of the morning gown and jumped in the shower.

A few pictures of me right out of the shower

If I didn't have to go back to Örebro today I would probably have stayed like that too - in my morning gown, cozing up in front of the tv with robert haha :)

Lazy days can be so nice sometimes, they're so underrated!

Woke up in heaven

I opened up my eyes after a long sleep in and woke up to a sunny blue sky.
I hope the weather is this nice tomorrow when I return to Örebro så I can go on a photo round with the big camera :) The trees are starting to go yellowy and redish there now so it's perfect for a mini photo shoot. Here in Stockholm the leaves are already on the ground and those that are still on the trees are all brown. I guess it's been warmer in Örebro ;)

Cake and a movie

Tonight it's "The Kid" <3

The evening

We started the evening at biljardpalatset (the pool palace) where we rented two tables and played against each other. We're all pretty competitive but I guess Henrik (my oldest brother) takes the price, he decided that he would play pool with only one hand and still win. One could even call it pure arrogance, but even with one hand, he still won! But it was a close call.

Henrik's fiancé Yvonne playing pool against Henrik.

After playin pool we got hungry so we began our march towards the ramen restaurant where we had booked a table. But on our way there a man with a gigantic pan stood outside a restaurant and handed out plates with free paella (I wish I had taken a picture of it, but I totally forgot!) And well, we didn't say no, after all - free is good!

My boyfriend Robert eating paella that was handed out on the street.

The menu of the restaurant that we ate at. Everything looked so good in the menu that it was really hard to decide!
My Shio Ramen, it was really good, almost as good as in Japan

The birthday boy enjoying his geikikara ramen and dumplings combo set.

Oh, right! We ate a kimama ramen in Stockholm :) It was really good and I recommend that you go there to eat if you love ramen! It tastes almost as it did in Japan!

Celebrating my brother's birthday

I am right now at "Biljardpalatset" (The pool palace in english) with my family.  We're celebrating that my oldest brother is turning 30 years old :)

The birthday boy (Henrik) playing pool, he's pretty skilled.
He's really getting old now, haha :) He said he would finally grow up and become an adult by the time he turned 30, so we'll see how that turns out now :)

We'll also see who wins! Henrik bet that he could win against all of us whether he used two hands or only one hand! So we'll have to see what he can do or if he's only being arrogant ;)
