Wonderful day!

Today i will finally see the last part of the twilight triology - breaking dawn part 2!
I have been looking forward to this a lot, but this time i unfortunately didn't have time to go see it at the premiere. Either way it will be awesome though ^-^

So right now i'm on my way in to the central to meet camilla, an old chilhood friend of mine, in fact i can't even remember a time in which i didn't know her :) she's a very caring and responsible person and absolutely adorable <3 i love her so much :) <3 since i live in örebro all week and study, and she works almost full time as a nurse we haven't seen each other as much as we used to lately, but today, finally it's time to meet again :) and on top of that we will watch the last twilight movie, so let's just say i'm in a great mood!

It also started snowing for real here in stockholm yesterday evening, and it still haven't stopped so it feels really christmasy. I'm really starting to feel thw christmas spirit! It's high time to start baking now ^^ will get to it as i go back to örebro :)

Snow snow and more snow ^-^ i love it <3

Traveling in the snow

Did i say it started snowing the other day?

It was a few degrees (celcius, mind you) and relatively cold but bareable when i went to bed the day before, But when i got out of bed tuesday afternoon the world was all white. (yes, afternoon. I had terrible nausea and menstruational pain that day so i stayed in bed. Usually with that bad a period cramps warmth is a good thing. It's not a usual thing for me to have real bad cramps, it's been a few years since last time i think. So it's really nothing to worry or complain about)

Either way it's been frickin' cold since then and i need to get a new coat. I have an old coat in my closet but it's starting to tear and stuff in a lot of places so it's time to buy a new one. I've been looking at a few wool coats and found a few that i like.

Two at bubbleroom and quite a few at Yesstyle.
At yesstyle i actually found my absolutely cutest dream coat on Yesstyle (can't find it now though on there, so i guess it's sold out) Unfortunately though i'm too big around the bust for that coat *sigh*. If it would have fit around the bust it would have been such an easy buy too. >o<

So now i have a tough choice ahead. When i've narrowed it down to less choices i'll show them here so you can help me choose ^^

for now i'm on my way back to stockholm. Robert will be late tonight (he's going climbing with a friend) so i decided to go to try and get my shoes fixed att the shoe maker and then visit my parents. Hopefully i can persuade them to eat sushi with me ^-^

Solving a problem the hard way

I'm often on the road. Every weekend i go back to stockholm and try to do stuff (or sometimes just relax) with my friends, family and my boyfriend. Now on the weekdays i'm here in örebro going to school, shopping (both groceries and fun stuff), working out, meeting friends and studying. So since i'm on the go a lot i need a good blogging device for my iphone since i always have that with me.

I tried out bloggers own version, at it's not bad, but it puts all my pictures at the bottom, and i don't want them there. I want to be able to put my pictures where ever i want in the text! Now after a little research online i found an app called blogpress and it is great! You can put in tags, change the time when the post is going up on the blog, change font and font size, put in links and so on! It's a great blogging app that has it all, including the fact that i can put my pictures anywhere i want in the text body. And when i first used it it seemed absolutely perfect.
But of course, it wasn't.

You see, as i started using the app when i was on the road and my computer when i was at home i realized that in the posts i had uploaded from my phone the pictures where always blurry.
It seems as when the pictures are uploaded through the blogpress app they are uploaded in a very small format, and then upscaled to be the size you want them to be on the blog. While this makes uploading the photos faster it decreases the quality of he photo tremendously. I had however never that problem with the blogger app. I put up an example below:

The picture above is a random picture of me from my archive that I have uploaded through blogpress (I believe it's from halloween last year. I think i went as an upscale 19th century lady or something, with a corset and all). It's one of the sharpest pictures I've taken with my iphone, but by uploading it with blogpress it gets a little hazy.

Now this is the same picture, only it's uploaded through the blogger app, you can see the difference in quality right? Especially if you look at the net I have in front of my face. The one uploaded through blogger (the second one) is slightly bigger, yet it still has better quality.

So as this bothered me i went for a search for a new blogging app. but i found no other blogging app for iphone than blogpress that lets you place your pictures wherever you want in the body of text, they are all placing the pictures at the bottom!

So, i decided to try and fix this by using both apps. Finally i managed to fix it by uploading the photos through the blogger app and then saving it as a draft. That way i can reach the photos (as a html code) through the blogpress app and then copy paste the code where i want my picture to be.

It may sound complicated but it isn't once you get a hang of it.
So this will be my solution to the blogging on the go problem until i find a better one.

Anyone else have any ideas? ;)

It's kind of a hobby of mine

I don't know if if i've said it before, but i LOVE to try out new random stuff. It's kind of a hobby of mine.

When i lived at home i used to watch tv-shop and managed to persuade my parents buy random stuff from Tvins.com. For example, I (either by my parents buying it, or me buyin myself when i got older) have tried out the magic bullet when it was sold, the abtronic X2, h20 mop x5, some kind of rotating device that was supposed o remove hair with microbeads (i can't remember it's name) and sheer cover.

There's probably something else that i'm forgetting but either way i like to try out stuff whether it's something i buy in a store or off the internet. Preferably new cool stuff with affordable prices. I'm not rich after all.

So a page like Groupon is a regular site i visit. I get daily offers from them and some of them i swoon over, and yet a few of those i buy.
The package I received yesterday

This time, i have bought something about a month ago and it arrived yesterday!
What was in the package - two different kinds of blackhead squeezers

So what the heck is it? Well it's two sticks that apparrently can squeeze out your blackheads better than you and your nails can. I don't have huge pores, but as any other there's still blackheads in them and no scrubbing or squeezing in the world gets rid of all of them. So i thought i'd try this pore squeezing stick thingy.

It's literally called blackhead squeezers and although i got mine through an offer on Groupon (giving me 50% off on them) they're originally a product from ILUsweden.

Now i have tried it once yesterday evening and i plan to try out the product first a few more times before i give a review on the product - i always want my reviews to be fair, and when it comes to skin care products it's usually best to try it out several times to see it's full effect.

So i will try it out a few more times and then give you a full review (of course with horrific close up before and after images of my pores ;) gotta make it real)

so what are your bets? Will it work or not?

Buying weird stuff

Today i had my first lesson in prevention. This december course will be called "Developmental Psychology and prevention" and will focus on different ways to prevent psychological illness and promote mental wellness (most often in childhood and early adolescence). I wasn't very hyped up about it at first, but our teacher is very engaged in the subject and presented new perspectives that i hadn't thought of. All in all it seems like it will be a very fun and interesting course!

After the lesson i had lunch with a few classmates at one of the university's lunch places and then went to get my grocery shopping for the week done.
I didn't need much stuff so i bought some of those small things that i need but usually skip because of the budget.
for exmple i bought this:

It's a Luxury facial scrub from gunry with vanilla, elderflower and shea butter for smooth and moisturized skin! Or so they say ;) it sound so nice, i haven't tried it yet though, but when i do, i'll give you a review :)
And this time - i also started stocking up a bit for some things that i will need during December to prepare for christmas!

For example i bought a steak themometer, and several types of chocolate, almonds... Well you name it ;) can you guess what i will be making for christmas?

It's really starting to feel christmasy here. My roomate put up a candlestick in the window and it feels so nice and cozy <3 I'm probably going to start playing christmas songs soon haha :)

Are you guys looking forward to christmas?

The beginning of christmas

Yesterday was an awfully lazy day. An internet game that my boyfriend happens to play a lot was having tournaments in a huge game gathering here in sweden called dreamhack and they were streaming the matches online. The game is called Dota and is an online strategy game. Anyway, since robert always plays the game he wanted to see the best of the best play and so we watched the quarter finals, semi finals and finals.

Yesterday i played around with my hair that had turned all curly cause i fell asleep with wet har in a bun... :p

And that's basically all we did all day :p we cheered on the almost all swedish gaming group called "no tidehunter" and finally, about two in the morning, they won! :) not a very productive day but it feels good to be lazy the day after a test so it's alright :)

Today on the other hand we decided to go out instead, so we rode into town and walked around in the christmas decorated streets and tasted cheeses and jam and looked at all kinds of stuff at the different christmas markets and flee markets.

There were small "cabins" All over the christmas market that had ginger bread hearts hanging from the ceiling and lights all over the roofs, they were really pretty things <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="br">

All the city smelled of burnt almonds and we found one place that specialised in different flavours! :)

For example sesame flavoured burnt almonds! We wanted to buy some but had no loose cash :p we usually only use cards haha :)

Inside the central market tent of the christmas market.

Robert and i played around with some fun winter hats we found in one market tent :)

I tried one of those russian fur hats, didn't quite fit me though, maybe with a moustache and a beard? ;)

Finally we ended our day by going to my parents place for sunday dinner :) my oldest brother Henrik and his fiance yvonne was also there :)

We ate a recipe from a service called "Linas matkasse", where you pay to get recipes and a bag with ingredients directly to your door. My parents have decided to try it out to get some variety and new recipes. The recipe we tried out today was however not a huge succes, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. It was some kind of meat with oven cooked root vegetables, potatoes and a balsamic vinegar sauce.
After the meal we had ice cream and some kind of butterbread wrapped chocolate pastry.

All in all, it's been a really nice day and end to the weekend.
Now i'm once again on the train back to Örebro.

What have you guys done this weekend? :)

Looooooong day

Today feels like one of the longest days in my life - not that it actually has been, but it sure feels that way. And a tough one at that.

To begin with it was a long night as i remember dreaming about chasing something (don't remember what it was, but i have a vague memory of a pyramid and a fruit for some reason...)
And then in the morning i did my last minute studying, showered and washed up, packed for the weekend and fixed the yoga mat back into it's huge box, put it on the bike and cyckled my way to the post office and then the university.

And i gotta say, i expected this four hour test to be well enough time as usual and that maybe i could finish one hour or half an hour early as usual - but i was gravely misstaken.

My day felt about as long as long cat...

We only had five questions and got to choose if we wanted to write the essay exam in swedish or english, as the teacher was english, all our classes, seminars and litterature was in english and i feel comfortable writing in english i did.

"only five questions, yaaay i'll be done early!" or so i thought at first. But they were not only big, they were huge and to not miss anything important i first had to make pointers for myself on every question. Only the pointers to every question took an hour to get down on paper - that's how huge it was.

So then i used te remaining time to write down 9 pages of small printed scribbles (my handwriting is NOT pretty, especially when stressed). + three pages of pointers for the questions.
It was tough and for once i had to use all the time given - and for once so did most of the class....
It was really waaaay to big.

But the worst part wasn't even the fact that it was a waaay to big exam for only 4 university points, no it was the fact that the test did not have any pointers what so ever about what you needed to achieve to pass or to get a VG (the highest grade, there's three grades: U= fail, G=good(pass), VG= very good)

Usually it's point graded, where every question has a maximum number of points and you need at least 50% for a G and 75% for a VG. But this time nothing. It was really annoying.
I'm going to write to our teacher to ask about how the heck she grades the papers... After all whithout a scheme for it she could correct and grade them however she wants - and that's not very fair.

So now i'm on the train back to stockholm, that of course is late and stuff so i won't be at robert's place until midnight or so... *sigh*

Oh well, at least the exam is done, and i have a chill weekend ahead of me <3

Review of the abilicia yoga mat

So as I mentioned before I ordered a yoga mat to pursue my yoga further at home. And I found a cheap and stylish yoga mat from abilicia on sportamore.se that looked fine, it even came with a bag to carry the mat with you and a flier with some yoga poses. A real bargain!
A picture of the abilicia yoga mat from sportamore.se
Or so I thought. After a little bit of a hassle to get the package home I managed to get it to my apartment and opened it. Obviously, the package was too big.
How the package looked when I opened it.
But the mat looked good felt nice to stand on. So I decided to try out a simple sun salutation the mat but immediately stopped when I tried the dog pose and my hands just slid of the mat! To be fair my hands were a little bit sweaty so I dried them off and tried again - and slid just as badly! Not only that, I found that while putting my hands on the mat they instantly got warmer from the not very breathable material - which was regular PVC by the way. So unfortunately it's barely to count as a yoga mat! A yoga mat that you can't do a dog pose on is not a toga mat!

So unfortunately the abilicia yoga mat gets the lowest of the lowest grade of only one heart out of five!

On the other hand when I contacted sportamore.se about returning the mat they were stars about it! They answered me within an hour and immediately apologized for the inconvenience and wondered if I wanted a refund or another mat. Of course they also pay for the return postage :)
so to the sportamore.se service I have to give 4 out of five hearts!

Unfortunately I have to remove one heart for the abnormally huge package they sent me with the yoga mat, but other than that - perfect service :)

So now I'm going to have to try out another mat, wonder what it'll be next time...
And for now I'm going to have to keep on doing my yoga on the floor.

Why, just... Why?

So after today's seminar i went with a classmate to meditation that apparently are held every tuesday at the university chapel.
Unfortunately, no one was there. And i mean no one, not even the priest who was supposed to guide us through meditation.
We had heard earlier today that someone in the university staff had died, and some firat years classes had been cancelled, so we guessed that it probably was because of that, that meditation was cancelled.
Well we meditated anyway, sort of, i think :p i have never meditated before but at least it felt okay :)

Then, i went to get my package from the post office. I never went to get it yesterday so i picked it up today instead, and the package i got was HUGE!

And i was like... It's a frickin yoga mat!? Why is the package so big?? When turning the package you can hear the mat just tumbling around in there so the package is obviously too big.
So just... Why? XD why put iy in suck a huge box instead of a little box or just a bag?
Weird sportamore.se :p just weird :p

Off to meditation!

So now i'm finally done with this course's semniars
So now i'm off to meditation with a classmate :D thought i'd try :)

Dumb ways to die

Today's song of the day is a funny commercial for train rail safety - believe it or not!

It's absolutely wonderfully cute and funny song, while still bizarre enough that you get the message! It's such an awesome commercial, you have to love it! It's also such a catchy tunes that I'll probably go around singing about dumb ways to die for days, haha :)

As usual the weekend before a test...

Is very boring! There's not much going on as i'm just cramming for the test. I try to cook myself some good food, usually get a cravig for sugar, try to work out and so on but usually i just have to lie down on the bed and read the material.

The worst part is that i've had a real inspirational week and i want to start writing! But i can't focus on that while trying to study, so for now i try to mentally move forward with the stories in my hea so that when i have time to write i can just get down to business in a jiffy ;)

Ah, if only it was that easy :p

//Wayu

Yesterday's dinner

Yesterday i went shopping and got a great price on pork filet, so i cooked it yesterday in a sweet soy sauce (containing mostly soy sauce and water, as well as mirin and a little sugar) with ginger, garlic and chili flavour (home made and half improvised of couse :p) and sesame seeds for a little crunch.
Luckily, it was lovely <3

Japanese food is really very good and most of the time i don't think it's that complicated either :)
//Wayu

Sun salutation

I've been resting now and I think I'm pretty much all well again, there's been some very stubborn sickness left in the lungs for a while but I think it's finally starting to go away :)
So! That means I can finally start working out for real again! Yay :D

I'm thinking about trying a little bit harder on the yoga front. Before I got sick I did the body balance ( a mixture of yoga, pilates and tai chi) class pretty much every Wednesday and would have done it more if I could, but unfortunately the class is only on Wednesdays. There's also a yoga class on Mondays but I often miss it as I'm tired from traveling over the weekend and usually just want to chill at home. So, I thought that maybe I could download some yoga videos, or find them on youtube or buy a book or whatever so I can do some yoga at home? That might be nice :) So I ordered a yoga mat that will probably be here on Monday and that's when I will start. :) This weekend I will start slowly with some walking and bicycling without straining my half-sick lungs too much and then monday I will try to start doing more yoga ^-^
Found this basic sun salutation on google, it's pretty close to the sun salutation we use in body balance class, so I printed it out and put it up on my wardrobe door ;) That way I will know the order and never forget to do it ;) <3 (press the picture if you want to see it in it's full glory ;p)

Looking forward to it :D

One more night

This song has been in my head for a few weeks now, it's so incredibly catchy.

Here's the official video, though, for me,  the video isn't what I imagine when I hear the song, so I don't like it that much. But I DO love the song :) So here you go!

Clumsy day

I don't know what side i woke up at today, it's not the good side where everything goes well nor the side where nothing works. It's just kinda... Clumsy day.
I forgot to set my alarm last night so i was really late for my group meeting - But i did have a good dream when sleeping :p
I've been getting stuck in stuff with my hair and the cords to my headphones, almost falling and tripping on my own heels - but then again i haven't fallen or hurt myself so it's not bad either.
It's a weird day :p

But well, at least i've gone shopping for the week and i got a good price again on salmon and pork ^^ seems they often have good prices on ham, pork and salmon at my store :)

What pride feels like

FINALLY! I'M DONE!!

I have cleaned some yesterday (the rough stuff cleaning) and today I did the last details like dusting and vacuuming and putting all the little stuff where they belong. I even scrubbed the floor! :D

I gotta say the feeling after a complete cleaning is awesome ♥ I feel like I at least did something good haha.

Well, now that I've got a clean room I've gotta eat some late dinner and then get to reading some articles for tomorrows group meeting.

Work, work hard work, work! No rest in sight ;)

//Wayu

Playing around

Playing around a little with my red wig. One of these days I'm actually going to wear it outside haha x'3
But for now, I just use it at home from time to time when I feel like having red hair again. I'm after all letting my own hair rest for now, so I made a pact with my hair not to color it for at least another year </3 *sigh*

A wig is probably better than me coloring, after all I change what kind of hair color I want pretty often, but you can't color your hair too often between colors, especially if you like red. Red is a bitch to get out of blond hair :P

But oh well, today I'll be playing with red hair a bit :)

//Wayu

Package

A pacakage delivery <3
I love getting packages, even if i know it's not anything real fancy in it.

Like this one it's only a new cartridge of black ink for my printer, but i still feel like a kid on christmas when i get a package. Every time <3
is it just me?

What i'm doing right now...

This is a picture of what i'm doing right now.

What the hell is that you may ask?
Well, while cleaning my room and running errands today i totally forgot about my appointment with Mr. laundry room :p i had set my cell phone to go off an hour before the booking time but that didn't help much as i forgot to turn the sound of the cellphone on :p
So now, i'm washing my clothes old school style - in the bathtub!
//Wayu

The cookies!

So what kind of cookies did i make yesterday? ^-^

I wanted something that tastes good and is easy to make, so i used a base recipe for oatmeal cookies and then played around a little with the recipe, finally making it into hazel nut and mixed chocolate oatmeal cookies!

Thankfully the recipe is a winner! They're really good :)

A productive day

Today i don't have any classes or group meetings, but a day off. That doesn't mean i get to rest though! I have a lot of things to do.
I started today by sleeping in since i haven't gotten enough sleep lately, then i studied until now. It's been a productive morning, and i'm planning on letting the rest of the day be just as productive!

I need to clean my room - after being sick last week it looks like crap :p
I need to wash my clothes
I need to study some more
I have a few errands to fix
Aaaand of course i'd like some time to read the aspiring authors magazine i got from my dad and also write some on my book!

I'm probably not going to find time for everything today, but i can at least try to do as much as i can! :)

But first, some very late breakfast is in order

Cooking dinner :)

Nothing fancy - just some scrambled egg pasta with seafood and vegetables. But i've made it a lot so it always tastes good, to me at least ;p

A project on the way

Once again i felt the need for some home-baked cookies, so i'm making some :)

Nothing real complicated this time ;)

Guess what kind of cookies i'm baking? :)

On the go again

I'm in the central örebro at the moment trying to find a place to repair the sole of my shoes. It's harder than you might think... In stockholm it's easy, but here the shoemakers don't change soles, only the heel. Real frustrating!

Hopefully i'll find one soon :p

Wish me luck

Evening Fika

In Sweden we have a term called "fika". Basically it's when you drink a beverage and/or eat cookie or cupcake or whatever, usually at a café or at home. American's ask if "you wana go out for a coffee" and the brits for a cup of tea, But that's weird if you don't drink coffee or tea right?
So in Sweden we use the term fika. That way you can go out for whatever you feel like.
I'll be using the term in my blogging, cause well, i don't drink coffee nor very much tea, but i still like to go for a fika ;)

Anyway, tonight i'm having a fika with my computer cause i have a lot to do for tomorrows seminar and i felt that i needed a hot beverage to get me through it ;)

So i got out my big bulk bag of caffe d'amore chai latte powder and made myself a big cup of chai latte <3

Mmmm <3 Now I'm ready to go head on with the homework, haha ;)

Another day at the univeristy

The days at uni are not always productive, or rather not often productive.
There's just way too much fun going on, like making ph wear my frilly, girly clothing.

Turned out so cute didn't he?
The one standing beside him is Hedda, another one of my classmates :)

So yeah, not much has been done yet, so i'll probably be here a while longer ;)

Gift from home

Yesterday, right before leaving stockholm and returning by car (i was lucky to get a lift by christoffer in my class :3) to örebro, my father gave me a plastic bag with stuff to take with me back.

It was a loooot of mackarell and a magazine about writing, aimed at aspiring authors.
It was perfect for me :) i eat a lot of mackarell and when i flipped through the magazine it seemed incredibly inspiring! I'm going to read it later when i have time.

For now i'm meeting with my group and trying to get some school work done for the seminar tomorrow <3

As always, it was great fun.

My father

My brother harald :)

We were going to eat tortillas but my dad bought enchilada spices. It didn't really matter though.

My eldest brother henrik decided it would be funny to buy a book called "paternal homicide".

Henrik's fiance yvonne

Annoying at times but still the best dad ever :) <3
