Miraculous fix for broken nails

So i broke my nail earlier today.
I have finally managed to grow them out so i didn't want to have to cut it off, so i thought maybe it's fixable somehow?

I looked around the internet and it turns out there's quite few versions. I tried one with glue, an empty tea bag an base/top coat.

So how do you do it?

1. Cut out a piece of the empty tea-bag as big as your nail and drench it in glue (i also drenched my nail a bit.

2. Let it dry a bit. cut off any part that is outside your nail as close to your nail as possible.

3. Put three coats of top or base coat on you nail. Let it dry between each coat.

4. Tadaaaah! Now you've got a nail that is whole again and looks something like this:

It looks a little weird but don't worry! As soon as it dries you can put on a coat of your favourite nailpolish and your nail will almost look normal :)

Cute things

So walking around town today i found some reeeally cute stuff. I can't wait until i get my own apartment and can start furnishing my own cute den <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">

I reeeeally want to buy something today. I've been having this urge to shop now for a while, so i think i might just fall for it today...

Sailor blazer

I found this GORGEOUS sailor blazer at H&M today:

I didn't buy it since i don't really need a blazer right now. I do however need a bunch of other stuff that i will be buying soon.

I reeeally wanted it though, it's so hot <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">
I also realize when i look at the pictures that i'm strarting to get my body back little by little ;) i guess the diet is really doing it's thing ;)

God-frickin'-damnit!

All i have to say is OUCH!

I just broke my nail. It's a first for me since i usually don't have nails that are long enough to break. Actually this one wouldn't have broken either, except
I had gotten a chip on the side from a sharp object at work a few days ago.

Even though it did hurt it still didn't hurt as badly as i thought after seeing all those bimbo-movies haha!

I wonder if you can fix broken nails or if i just have to cut it off.

Art Gallery

Today I had my first day at the practical work and it all went fine. Afterwards i realized that for once I don't have any homework or reading to hurry home to!
So since the sun was shining i decided to get of a station earlier and explore my way to the city center. My first stop was the cinema, but there was nothing going on there so i went next door to the örebro gallery of art and found this:

Turns out an artist named Jukka Vikberg had this exhibition. It was - to say the least -unusual. The exhibition was a mix of severed heads and panting fluffy stuff.

In the video you can see a separate room of the exhibition where the artist have put up severed heads on branches that scream as you walk past them. It was somehow bizarre yet funny at the same time.
I'm not sure this is my kind of art, but i don't mind it.

What do you think about this art?

Good or bad?

Professional portrait

I just wanted to show you guys the portrait of me and robert that he bought for me as a christmas gift (it did take a while for it to get done, that's why i get it now). It's a professional artist that has painted it named Ewa Phil. (I think she has a website, but i don't know it. I will go check it out and then put up a link if i find it)

What do you guys think? :) does it look like us?

Working bee!

Today's work is finally at it's end! Now i can go home to robert at spend a few last hours with him before he flies away to Dublin for three months :(

He's actually leaving on friday morning, but i have practical work on thursday and friday so i need to get back to Örebro tomorrow evening. So we don't have many hours left together until he leaves.

I will miss him so much! :( I will go and visit him two times, but even so it's not the same! Two times in three months is nothing when you're used to meeting all the time! But we will get by somehow and when he gets back we will go on our super-trip and make up for lost time :)

I can't wait <3

Ouchie on my arm

As i told you yesterday we went and vaccinated ourself yesterday. Robert got one shot and i got two. One hepatitus a+b shot in my left arm and one tyfoid shot in my right arm.

As i do get from some shots (not all) i sometimes get a reaction from the vaccine and about a minute after the shot my head starts spinning and i get a bit of tinitus. It only lasts for another minute or two, so it's not that bad - but this time i got it for both shots. First time we were still in the room, the second reaction came a little bit later when we had ledt the room and were paying. First time i have gotten it twice, but then i usually don't take two shots at the same time haha!

Unfortunately i got anoter reaction as well from the tyfoid shot - after a few hours my muscle started hurting and got all tense.
Unfortunately the tyfoid were in my dominant arm, so yesterday evening it was a bit hard to do stuff. Today it's a lot better but it's still a bit sore and tense. Sucks that i'm going to work today - no rest for my arm today haha ;)
Fortunately, i did not have the same reaction to the hepatitus shot, and that one i will have to take two more times while the tyfoid shot was a one-shot.

Well, now i'm off to work, cya later!

Ego-hair pics

When i woke up this morning and combed my hair i suddenly noticed how silky it's gotten! I really think it's getting better so i had to take a few pictures of myself with my glossy glossy hair ;)

I'm still thinking about whether to cut my hair once or twice before our long backing trip, but i haven't decided yet.

Either way i'm so happy it's becoming pretty again!! It has even started to curl and wave a bit in some places! Just like when i was little! Love it :)

Totoro puzzle challenge!

Yesterday right before bed robert and i opened up a puzzle that we bought in japan when we visited studio ghiblis themepark. We thought it would be a big piece puzzle, but instead when we opened the box we found the smallest puzzle pieced ever! 150 small pieces fell out of the box and many of them were completely white! We were so shocked haha!

We suddenly had a much larger task ahead of us than we bargained for, but we didn't back down! Instead we sat for about two hours just puzzling the pieces together

Finally after two hours we were done! And it turned out pretty cute right?

Start the day with a kiwi

Today me and robert have a few errands to run in the city center again, two of them being vaccination for the trip and getting the finished painting of us that robert bought me for christmas!

Exciting stuff! To get ready for this busy busy day i ate a delicious kiwi with my breakfast <3 data-blogger-escaped-:="" data-blogger-escaped-antioxidants="" data-blogger-escaped-br="" data-blogger-escaped-can="" data-blogger-escaped-enough="" data-blogger-escaped-stock="" data-blogger-escaped-t="" data-blogger-escaped-up="">

Japanese souvenirs

When we were in japan last year robert decided that he wanted to have a shelf with only japanese stuff on it in his bedroom.
It has taken him some time to find a good shelf and actually get the time to put it up but today, we put it up!

And we unpacked the souvenirs and put them all up there. In the end it looked like this:

What do you think?

Pleasureable sushi

Today is this weeks' eating day!
We were originally planning to sin greatly and eat pizza for breakfast and just chill. But we have a few things to do today in the city center, so we decided to exchange the pizza for our favourite (budget) sushi buffe Nooshi!

You can never eat too much sushi haha! (And miso soup, yakiniku, waffles and all else they offer at the buffe hehe)

Spring is in the air

Today the sun is shining and the air is warmer. Finally the air smells of the upcoming spring and the snow is slowly melting to make room for it.

And me and robert are outside, roaming the streets in the sunlight. We have a few errands today to run, but were going to do them slowly while enjoying this beautiful day.

Home-made cuteness!

Yesterday was a looong day. You see, robert is moving away to study dentistry as an exchange-student in dublin for three months, and when he comes back he will just re-pack, and then we'll be going for our long backpacking trip for another two and a half months - so he's renting out his apartment for six months. And it turns out many were interested so we had viewings of the apartment for everyone interested all day yesterday.

Anyway, during these viewings i realized robert had found an old gift when cleaning i've given him a while back. It's the home-sewn onigiri (=japanese riceball. Very common with smiley faces on them in anime for some reason) plushie i made a few tears back <3

I haven't seen him in ages!

I should sew a big one as a decorative pillow when i move to a real apartment! :) that would be really cute haha :D

The unfairness of dieting

Breakfast for the dieting girlfriend:

Breakfast for the non-dieting boyfriend:

Sometimes life just isn't fair haha! I want bacon too!

The fact that i'm dieting doesn't really bother me when i eat alone, i don't even think about it anymore - it's just routine.
But when you eat with others you've got something to compare to, and suddenly it's obvious to you that you're dieting.

Can't wait til' i'm done dieting so i can eat normally again (no that does not mean eating pizza every day and cookies, chips and candy. It means eating normally - being able to eat normal portions of regular food without thinking about the calories having to be below a certain point. Just to clarify to those of you who missunderstood. I know you're out there.)

Inspirational artist

I just found a really inspirational artist that photographs (and edits of course) these absolutely stunning photos with concepts bordering between reality and fantasy. I love these kind of concepts of Beyond Reality and this artist does it extremely well. I snatched some photos of her website to show you all:

As you can see she is absolutely fenomenal! And these are just a few picks of some of her work.
The artist name is Nozomi Suzuki, a half japanese, half russian Beauty with incredible talent!
You can find more of her incredible work at her blog (www.mistwalkerphotography.wordpress.com) so go check it out, it will blow your mind!

These are by the way the kind of photos I would like have as big canvases on the wall - whenever I get a big house with a lot of wallspace I will fill them with inspiring artists work with a hint of imagination and fantasy.

Note: None of these photographs are taken, edited or in any way affiliated with me - All credit for these works of art should go to the artist Nozomi Suzuki (you can find her website here)

Sweaty and happy

Just wanted to check in all tired and sweaty from today's workout at the gym.

First some sh'bam and then 6 minutes on the stairmaster (or as i like to call it - the butt-machine) since i discovered it at my gym yesterday - and it reeeally burns the ass (the muscles mind you) - so i've decided to add a few minutes of ass-master every time i'm at the gym. Maybe that way i can get a bootylicious ass haha!!

At least it can't hurt :)

Review of the Nivea Pearly Shine lip balm

Last week I bought a new lipbalm from Nivea called Pearly Shine. I decided to try it out for my winter dry lips to see if it made a difference. Here's the verdict:

First of all the positive. It has a very cute colouring of the lips that is not too strong or too subtle that it doesn't show. Second it made my lips soft pretty fast as long as I used it as soon as I felt my lips dry up. My boyfriend commented on the obvious softening of my lips since I started using it and was impressed. It's also very cheap and you can buy it pretty much anywhere, plus it's small enough to have with you in your pocket so it's always accessible.

And off to the negative - truth be told it did make a difference - as long as I used it like fifteen times a day. As soon as I didn't use it for a few hours my lips became dry again. Now that's not really what I was looking for - frankly I felt kind of silly when I constantly pulled up a lip balm and colored my lips to infinity. I'd rather have something that will actually give some kind of long term smoothness for my lips. Basically it's not very long lasting, and apparently the taste isn't great either. My boyfriend commented on the taste and said I should get one of those lip balms that taste good instead.

All in all it's just a very short term solution which makes your lips look and feel more kissable for a few minutes - but if you actually get kissed in the period that your lips are softened by this product your lips will instead taste bad. So, all in all - not a very good solution.

At least not for me.

Final grade:  (two out of 5 hearts)

Travels for the (half) blind

So as you all already know by now, me and my boyfriend are going for this huuuge backpacking trip this summer (I've added a little info about it in the sidebar for those of you who are new), and there's a lot to think about especially since the hygiene won't be the best in most places. One of those things is my daily lens-routine. I bet trying to keep them real clean when putting them in and taking them out every night will be quite hard in an unhygienic hostel or bungalow, and I want to refrain from infections in my eyes, that wouldn't be a nice surprice.

So, I've been looking into these day & night lenses that you put in once, and then wear for a month! Depending on your eyes you might have to take them out once every other week over night but it's fully possible to have them on for an entire month too. That would be perfect for our travels! That way I can sleep with the lenses on and won't have to worry as much about the cleaning process of them.

Of course I don't want to just buy them right before the trip and just hope they work, instead I decided to buy them now since It's time for new monthly lenses anyway and try them out.

I decicded to try out the cheapest ones that I could find with good reviews, so I ended up with Cooper Vision's Biofinity lenses.

I always order from lensway.se as they have low prices and delivers really fast, and got one pack of lenses (contains six lenses so it's enough for three months) for 175kr! (ca 26USD) It's only a few kr more expensive than my regular monthly lenses so it will probably be worth it if they work well, especially since I won't have to buy as much lens-fluid for these lenses.

They will probably show up tomorrow or friday so then I will see how they work!

Sentences, words and letters

I've been lying in bed most of the day just reading my course litterature and resting. I still don't have any fever so I'm alright, but I also don't feel fine. And I have a test on Friday, so as a compromise I've been lying still and studying.

I wish I could go work out, but I just don't have the strength in my body to go, so here I am.

I hope I'll feel better tomorrow.

Your best game will still loose to an expert

I've been feeling a little out of it today, I think I'm starting to get sick or something. I've been on the edge for quite some time now, but it never fully blossomed to a full cold - instead I've been going around feeling tired and out of it, yet, I don't have fever. It's really weird. Tonight I slept for 9 hours (regular for me), and when I woke up I was still tired, went to school for a few hours, and then got back home and slept for another 2 hours... And yet, I'm still tired. I don't think I'm up for my regular kickass moday workout aka Body combat, I think I'll just rest today.
On another note I've been playing this swedish iphone game called "Quizkampen" (Quiz battle), and I ecently did my absolute best round yet with only four wrong answers out of 18 questions, yet I battled against some random dude who was totaly crazy - he only answered ONE question wrong! Crazy!

If you haven't tried out this game and live in sweden - do! It's pretty fun :)

A cup of bliss

I'm on the train right now back to Örebro. It's been a great weekend with lots of fun, but tomorrow it's back to reality. Since it's my pleasure day (aka, eat-whatever-you-want-day) today, I'm rounding it up with one of my warm obsessions for the winter - Barista's Chai Latte.

It is the absolute best (So good, that I actually had to ask the clerks about what chai powder they used so I could order it online in a big bulk bag! Even though I do have the chai latte at home, I still by from barita anyway from time to time - After all, barista is still my absolute favourtie café)

Pictures from the night on the prowl

Charlie and Camilla, sweethearts <3
Yesterday after having a fika with her, I went out for a night on the prowl with Camilla, her boyfriend Charlie and our mutual friend Elina (Though elina's not in on any of the pictures as per her request). We all went to a bar called "gröne jägaren" (The green hunter), were they always serve cheap drinks (Except for the alcohol free ones I noticed) and always have a crowd of drunk people singing kareoke - It's a pretty nice and accepting atmosphere there all in all.

Camilla ended up retaliating on me for taking pictures of her and charlie. ;)
The sweater I'm wearing on he picture is actually new, after buying the necklace and the earrings camilla and I went to H&M to try and find me some decent outing clothes. In the end I didn't find any dress, but I DID  find the lovely sweater on the picture. A welcome colour-clique in my wardrobe.
The big book of karaoke songs they had available and my pretty much only liquid sugar tasting lime/apple drink. The bartender had no clue about how to make an alcohol free beverage, but you know, most places don't, so in the end I ended up just going with water.
As some of you may know, I love singing, but I have a terrible stage fright, so I've made it my mission to try and sing karaoke in front of people whenever the opportunity presents itself. So, I persuaded Camilla to sing Hallelujah with me and we were like nervous wrecks half the night haha! In the end it probably went well though (I couldn't hear shit of my own voice up at the stage). At least I didn't die ;)

Luxury breakfast

Today me and robert are celebrating Valentine's since we didn't have time the 14th :) And every good day has to start with an even better breakfast, so we began our day by eating luxury waffles with vanilla/chocolate ice cream, frozen strawberries and raspberries and some jam.

I might not write too much today since we'll be coze up in the couch together the whole day

The two greatest finds of the month

Newly bought matching necklace and earrings for only 40kr (ca 6 USD)!! They had a sale at Ur & Penn so I went in thinking I might find something fun for tonight and found these two babies!

Love them! Going to wear them tonight :)

Fika with Camilla

At about three o clock today I met up with my childhood friend Camilla for a fika at one of our favourite cafés called Barista. As usual when we meet, we catch up, drink delicious tea and enjoy a delicious pastry. This time we enjoyed chai tea and a pecan nut cheesecake. The cheesecake was by the way probably the most delicious cheesecake I've ever tasted so far! It was absolutely delicious so I can definitely recommend it :)

Barista always has such a cozy atmosphere, with lit
candles everywhere.
Sweet Camilla in her pretty yellow dress <3

Since I've moved to Örebro for my studies and she started working as a nurse we've had less and less time to see each other, so we both miss each other so much! But as we were talking we realized we were both available this evening - so we're actually going out for a spin on the town tonight with some friends :) I can't wait! It's been so long since I've had a night out!
