New nails

Hello again sweets. Now i'm done with my last lesson for this semester! Now it's only exam studying left. But before that i'm going to go to the gym for another work out :) I just wanted to throw in some pictures of my nails that i did yesterday:

It's a pretty simple design with two different colors and white dots on top. But i like it anyway :)

What do you think? :)

Wet workout

It's raining like crazy outside. Typical swedish summer. It also means people are staying inside to avoid it so i'm all alone in the gym changing room. It will probably be as empty in the actual gym too.

Just from walking with my superwet bike from one end of campus to the the other end (where the gym is) i got totally soaked! (As you can probably see on the pic. That's also why i'm looking so weird. Wet clothes and hair - not so fun)

So yeah, it feels great to change into workout clothes instead.

Also, i'm writing this from my phone, but the photo is from my camera. I got the ez share card so i'm trying it out.

Later!

working hard like an ant

A few hours ago I got back from my practical work and then immediately went for a workout. It feels nice to finally be on track again with the workout after being sick but unfortunately I have only had time for two workouts this week. And tomorrow I'm going to Dublin - where I probably won't be working out as much as spending time with my sweetheart. But I will still take my work out clothes with me, and hopefully I will have a little time to use them :)

On my way home from my workout I found a super green pretty tree and some ants, so I had some fun with my camera ^-^

This is the first picture I took - the exposure was still left from yesterdays photograhy of the food, so it was way too light for the sunny day that is today. But somehow the exposure setting made my freckles real visible for once so I decided it was a pretty okay shot anyway haha. I hope my freckles will come out more this summer :)
Still love the super awesome focal range on this thing <3 And the macro is awesome too :) <3

After fooling around with the branches I noticed something crawling on me, and realized I was standing right by a hole that lead to an ant farm or something because suddenly I had hundreds of ants at my feet!
I jumped back (I'm not really fond of ants) and then tried to take a close up of the ants. It was hard because they kept crawling up on me and the camera - which lead to me jumping back and shaking them of before redoing the whole procedure. This was pretty much the only decent shot I managed to get:
Two small ants coming to attack me!
Abrupt ending

Randoms and whatnot

It's been a loooong day today. The whole class has been sitting inside a murky room all day watching each group's discourse on the report we wrote for today. But it's all done now and it's weekend! Now I'm just going home to pack the last stuff before hopping on a train to stockholm. And then, FINALLY, tomorrow is the big day when I travel to Dublin to meet my sweetheart <3  It's been a really long time since we met now (over a month!) so I am super hyped!

Two pictures from today that's otherwise totally unrelated haha!

For some reason (which would be that I thought my hair looked kind of nice all half curly and shit, as soon as I got out into the rain and wind like two minutes later though it was all horrible again haha!) I decided to take a quick pic of myself in the mirror (it's really dusty though, and it STILL has the tape residue from the tape that was on it when I first bought it. I just noticed. I really need to fix that :P).
And yoou know what? I've been loosing a bit of weight (slowly though since easter. Too many celebrating moments. Mom and dads birthday, easter, my birthday and so on.) and I actually think I can notice my arms being a bit more toned (yay!). Still got ways to go though. I especially wish I could get more of a curvy waist, but you know, I'm not really in a hurry so it's okay :) I will take it a Little at a time ;)
Some friends from my class at lunch today in the new lunchroom at the campus. It's really nice! I have to start eating lunch at school more often haha!

Well, now I'm off. Laters <3

Booty jeans!

I just got off work (i had closing) and in the lockerroom after changing back to regular clothes i noticed a little something in the mirror.

What is that? Could it be a BOOTY? Could it be that i've gotten a round pouty booty? Nooooo!

But yes!! I looked again, twirling and flexing (lol!) and i'll be damned if it wasn't a booty! And i always wanted one too.

Could it be a week early birthday present? Could it be a frickin miracle mirror that just happens to be present at my job to make workers feel good?

Or maybe just the results of the assmaster workouts (i've been working hard you know!)

I don't dare assume that though, so i'm going to go with the only obvious answer: It must be booty jeans i'm wearing.

You know, those jeans that loved your butt and makes it look even tastier - kind of like syrup on pancakes (Yum <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">
Yup, suryp booty jeans, that's the answer.

(Btw anyone else wanting to eat pancakes now?)

Butt lifting in process

So today i have another day of practical work with the ninth graders, but not until after lunch, so i had the time to start the day with a short but intensive workout with the poworkout app.

I can't say i've been very diligent with the work out this week. In fact my diet as well as my workout has pretty much been put to halt. I was going to take a paus when i reached my 5 kilo goal, but this month when i've been at my parents house and in stockholm a lot i found it hard to focus on the task. So, since it's like this and i also have a break from studying one mpre week, i've decided to take the break now until i everything returns to normal in the beginning of april.
I'm after all only 1,5kg from the first goal and i'm not in a hurry :)

Fitness 24 Seven

So since I'm here in Stockholm a lot this month I have bought a card at the cheapest gym I could find here which is fitness 24 seven. Iäve been working out here a few times now, and it's a good gym, it has the bare minimum and it's open 24 hours a day so you can work out any time, but it's definitely not the best gym I've ever been to.

Either way I'm here now for a workout before I return to work for my absolutely last phonecall on the job.

Refreshed

I started the day and the new week with another short poworkout. It really does feel great, especially when the sun shines as you're done and you walk out feeling totally refreshed.

Well i'm off to work!

Mini-morning workout

So from today I will start working at my new job for a week. I will be at work seven days straight until 21.00, so work out will be hard to fit in. I've got mysel a card at a gymm chain that is open 24/7, but even so I think it might be hard to go as often as I want to. So, I thought I'd try to get a little workout done every morning at home. I will be using the workout app PoWorkout and some yoga sun salutations to get my mornings started.
Today's mini-morning workout ( + a bit of yoga)

I'm not expecting to do some kind of huge workout in the morning, instead the point is to do a little bit, every day - and then try to complement it with as much gym time as I can and want a week. I started this morning and did a 30-minute workout, using the poworkout app and yoga, but today I had a bit more time than I will have other mornings, so I will see how much I can manage to do other mornings.

Sweaty and happy

Just wanted to check in all tired and sweaty from today's workout at the gym.

First some sh'bam and then 6 minutes on the stairmaster (or as i like to call it - the butt-machine) since i discovered it at my gym yesterday - and it reeeally burns the ass (the muscles mind you) - so i've decided to add a few minutes of ass-master every time i'm at the gym. Maybe that way i can get a bootylicious ass haha!!

At least it can't hurt :)

One month weigh in!

So now it's been one month since I started dieting (actually, this is a little late update, it was a month last week, but you know, better late than ever or whatever haha!) so I thought I'd update you on the happenings.

I pretty much forgot about the one month update since, well, time's been going petty quickly - I can't believe I've already been dieting a month! It hasn't been too much of a hassle really, laregly due to th fact that I get to eat whatever I want once a week - something that gives me a tiny goal every week (only three days more 'til you can eat that piece of chocolate!) and a day to eat those thing I've been craving.

First of all my cravings have gone down (as long as i don't eat too little calories one day, it has happened once or twice and the next day I'm constantly hungry and in need of sugar, so I really try to avoid eating too little) and second of all I'm healthy even though pretty much everyone I know is sick (there's a stomach flu AND a regular flu going around at the same time), so that's good.

Of course, there's also results in my measurements, weight and percentages. Let's make a cute little list.

In One month I've:

♥ Lost 3,1kg on the scale
♥ Lost 1,4% fat
♥ Lost 1,5cm of my waist
♥ Lost 1cm of my "belly".
♥ Gained a whole 1% of muscle(!)
♥ Gained 2% water. (Now this is positive because when I first stood on the scale I had way too little water percentage in my body and slowly I've been drinking more and more water and my water percentage has risen as well)

Naturally when you diet the first few weeks the weight will drop off you faster, so from now on I expect my weight loss to be a bit slower (I've already noticed it slowing a bit compared to the first few weeks) .

Either way  I'm well on my way and already close to my first goal of loosing 5kg :) Booyah!

Fighting and chillaxing

After class I went for the Bodycombat class again. It's still as tough, but I think I'm starting to get the technique a bit better which is really good for my back as the wrong technique that I had last week really strained my back. But now, I'm starting to get it so hopefully I won't have the terrible back ache that I got last week (it was well masked buy the muscle aches from the workout though!).

It feels really good to start the week with a tough workout, almost like a kickstart (litterally!). So I think I'm going to keep doing it. Tomorrow I will see how bad my muscle ache is, and then decide if I will go to the bodybalance or not. I don't think it will be  problem this week, so I'm planning for a nice workout tomorrow as well.

But you can't only workout, you have to take care of your skin as well! To relax after the start of the work out week I decided to treat myself to a facial.
Wish I could smile on the photo (I actually tried) but the mask makes it kind o impossible. Must be the way it feels to have a botoxed face!!

So now, my body has worked hard and is relaxed and my skin is all smooth and refreshed - I'm going to sleep well tonight :)

A new badass workout

So yesterday I decided to try out this workout I've been eyeing for a while. It's another one of Les Mills workots since I've had such a great experience with the other ones I've tried. It's called body combat and is an hour of punching, kicking and dodging an imaginary enemy in front of you.

I've heard it's a tough workout so I was ready for as much, so I decided to just try it out and do the best I could. When I got there I chatted a bit with the super cute, very tiny (as in short, she wasn't petite, she was FIT as hell) instructor and and she recommended me to come at least five times to get into it thoroughly as it would be a lot to take in at the beginning. Then, we all got ready by putting on these fighting gloves. The instructor said it would help us get into the mood.
The type of gloves we got to wear.
It was the same kind of gloves as the picture above. They didn't cover the fingers, only the knuckles and the hand. I had to search for quite some time before I found a pair that didn't just fall off me as I have pretty small hands (I can still wear children's gloves...), but I did eventually find a pair.

The instructor then showed us how to do a jab, cross, uppercut, two different side kicks, a regular karate kick, a high kick, some knee kick and elbow move before beginning the workout.

And then, it was all high intensity. The instructor screamed at us and psyched us up for the imaginary fight in front of us and it worked. I don't think I've ever worked so hard haha! There was no way I could have the stamina for the entire hour to give my all, yet you really wanted to - giving weak ass punches just made you feel like a sissy. So in the end you pushed yourself greatly.

And it shows in todays extreme muscle ache! I can barely move! So I'm pretty darn sure I had a great workout yesterday.

As I slowed my heart rate down after the class and put on my shoes I talked with another one of the participants. I told her I definitely didn't have the stamina to give it my all the entire class yet, but that I guessed it would come. She laughed and said I never would, because the more I learned, the more powerful I would be able to do the moves, so in the end I would never be able to give my all the entire class. Basically, it's a class that will always give you a thorough workout.

All in all, body combat is another great workout from Les mills (I really don't think they have any bad workout...) but it's not for the weak of heart! You don't have to have the greatest stamina (God knows I don't) because you will definitely get it if you start doing this workout, but you do need a little finish sisu. Or some anger. Or some kind of motivation, because it is a TOUGH workout, make no mistake about that.

But once you've done it you won't regret it.

Come as you are, leave as a star

Yesterday I woke up after sleeping incredibly well, I woke up motivated and full of energy. So, I was incredibly productive. I sorted through all the remaining stuff that needed to be sorted through and put the rest in the storage room, I threw away my garbage as well as sorted and threw away the apartments garbage (by that I mean the garbage from all of us staying in this shared apartment) - which  by the way together was about eight full bags(!!!), I dusted my room, vacuumed the entire apartment, cleaned my part of the bathroom, scrubbed the floor in my room, washed all my clothes, read the chapters needed for monday's seminar (I'm actually waay ahead with that, what up?), made more wax (yes, for waxing away unwanted body hair. You know you can make it at home for yourself and use regular A4(Or other size, but that's what I usually have at home) printing paper for wax strips right? No? Well You can. It's easy, cheap and effective. If you want the recipe, just tell me and I'll make a post about it, I might anyway, but you know, if you ask you'll probably speed up the process), waxed away at least part of my unwanted body hair (I didn't have time to attend to all of it, but I'll do that next time), and then finally, because I'm awesome, I also went for a cardio workout.

I tried out something called Sh'Bam, a dancebased cardio exercise that is kind of like zumba, but waaaay easier, and way more fun. The moves were more repetive so even though it was my first time it didn't take me long to get the moves and go all out with them. So in the end I didn't feel like a frickin' fool for not getting the moves and had real fun with it.  I remember it took me forever to learn the dance moves for the home version of zumba, so I was so mad when I went to a zumba class and there were all sorts of weird new moves that were repeated only like three times and I didn't have time to learn them before they went on to a new move, so for me, this easier more repetitive sh'bam fits my uncoordinated, bad dancer self.  Definitely another full pointer! Really, all the classes from les mills that I have tried out have been absolutely great.

Now I only have to try out body combat as well. I'll see when I can squeeze that into my schedule.

A little lighter weight-loss update ♥

I went today to the gym for a HIIT (High intensity interval training) workout :)
I've heard that they are very good for creating afterburn, and that is of course very good for weightloss, so I tried it. It was tough I tell you! I ran at full speed for 45 seconds ten times (with a 45 second calm tempo jogging in between), as it was the first time I've tried it. It really was tough, but somehow, the time went faster. After the short HIIT, I used the cross machine for another ten minutes or so before using the gym to strengthen my arms and back, after all I really need to strengthen my upper body - it's just way to weak! But I'm working on it ;)

Either way I just thought I'd up you on my weight loss journey (If you don't remember it's one of my new years resolutions to loose at least 5kg) or whatever I should call it.
It was about two and a half weeks since I started my diet when I last weighed in (it was on tuesday or wednesday I think) and the weight loss has been going steady as expected :)

I've lost 2kg and 0.7% body fat (a little over a kg fat in my case) according to my scale (it can measure weight, body fat, muscle, bone, water procentage and so on). According to the amount of calories that I've burned off with workout and low-calorie diet plan it fits pretty well with the fat measurements, so I think the scale is pretty trustworthy, even though it can change a bit between days. It doesn't really matter though, every week it's still going down a little at a time, and that's the most important  part ^-^
A dinner from the other day.  Bacon-cheese and shrimp filled plaice (Sv: Rödspetta) fillet rolls with spaghetti and mixed vegetables. A big portion, but only 350 calories

Since I loose about about 0.75kg every week it won't take that many weeks until I've lost the minimum goal of 5kg that I've put up, but I've also been thinking now that I do have a scale that can measure body fat, if loosing 5kg fat shouldn't be my goal instead, after all, if it's not fat I'm loosing the weight will come back pretty fast as it's probably just water or something...

It's not like I'm really suffering from eating less calories, really. I make sure to eat good food, just with less calories, like the picture above is of a dinner I had the other day after working out. I was hungry after the workout so it's a pretty big portion for me, yet it's not more than 350 calories, so it's not like I'm suffering, only eating bland food or bars or anything. Yet somehow I don't think being on a low calorie diet too long is good either... Maybe having a few weeks of rest and regular eating and exercising after my 5kg goal and then doing another diet again? It's not like I'm in a hurry to loose a lot of weight so taking a break might be good too.

Either way I can think about that later when I've reached my first goal - 5kg off ^-^

It's not much further :)

Whatever happens happens :)

Today was a weird day in school.
We had a seminar and were supposed to present a group work we had done. We were four in the beginning, one immediately said he wouldn't come because ofa hospital appointment. The second one didn't contact us, and didn't answer out calls. So, we were two who did the work of four people. It worked out fine though, not much problem.
But then, when i woke up this morning i had gotten a text from my only remaining group mate that he had gotten the stomach flu! Such bad luck! I mean, not only does he have to throw up all weekend, he also has to do a make-up essay since he didn't come to the seminar - even though he had actually done the seminar-work and only had the presentation left. I feel so sorry for him :/
For my part it just got weird. I had to present my part of the presentation without his part, so it became a bit patchy.
In the end it's alright though since i passed, but it sure became weird... Haha :p

Oh well! Now i'm going to the gym for a HIIT workput at the gym :)

Balance and Zen

Today I've been off from school. So I've been doing some "must do" stuff all day like washing clothes (I finally got around to washing my jacket and my bedding), stuying, cleaning and working out. Today it was a much longed for class of les mills body balance! I haven't done a class since last year (ha!) after all, so to start again felt great. It was also to boot the old routine (Though next week will be the new routine), so I felt right at home with the moves!

http://schonenberg.info/figures/bb56.jpg
The les mills Bodybalance poster at my local gym.
I also noticed that even though it's been a while I'm getting a lot better and since yoga class this monday when I learned to perfect my yoga poses, I noticed how much more each pose made my muscles burn. It's great when you can feel that even though you're getting better at something it's not getting less effective as a workout but actually more effective.

I'm going to try and squeeze in a cardio workout this week too, to get an all round body workout.

Suddenly I feel so hearty and brisk lol.

Yoga Vinyasa flow

Today is the first day back in Örebro and I've actually gotten back on track pretty fast, I've even started studying on time! It feels kinda great I must say!
I even managed to start working out and eating correctly instantly :) Now I just have to keep it up!
Today, I went to the university gym and did the Yoga Vinyasa flow basic class for the first time. I have been doing yoga before I came to Örebro to study, and I've also trained yoga in the bodybalance classes and at home last semester, but I really wanted to try out the pure yoga classes here and I must say, it was great. The basic yoga class was focused on doing the poses correctly and our teacher went around in the class and corrected people's stances and helped us achieve true Yoga poses in the correct way. Even though I've done yoga classes before, this one was the most informative, and I noticed that with a few nudges in the right direction the poses strained my muscles so much more! I could feel my muscles burn in a totally new way! I'm aboslutely sure my muscles will ache tomorrow!
http://www.justbreatheyogarivermark.com/yoga/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Yoga_Pose_2.jpg
I will definitely go do the Vinyasa flow yoga classes again :)

When I looked it up online, it also seems that Vinyasa Flow is one of the type of yogas that burn most calories (the yoga classes that burn more are those extreme ones where you're in a hot-like-a-sauna-room and do yoga, not sure that would be something for me as I can't stand heat too well) since it's a flowing yoga without stop. That's a happy surprice too!

Sweaty and happy

My work out has been a little off lately, i have been doing a little yoga at home, but i started missing cardio and the gym. So, today i went to the gym after class and ran on the treadmill, did some strength and even a little yoga and stretch. Tomorrow i will do some yoga at home before class, and then on wednesday i'll hit my favourite body balance class at the gym! That ought to kickstart my work out routine again!

Sweaty and happy after the cardio

Review of the abilicia yoga mat

So as I mentioned before I ordered a yoga mat to pursue my yoga further at home. And I found a cheap and stylish yoga mat from abilicia on sportamore.se that looked fine, it even came with a bag to carry the mat with you and a flier with some yoga poses. A real bargain!
A picture of the abilicia yoga mat from sportamore.se
Or so I thought. After a little bit of a hassle to get the package home I managed to get it to my apartment and opened it. Obviously, the package was too big.
How the package looked when I opened it.
But the mat looked good felt nice to stand on. So I decided to try out a simple sun salutation the mat but immediately stopped when I tried the dog pose and my hands just slid of the mat! To be fair my hands were a little bit sweaty so I dried them off and tried again - and slid just as badly! Not only that, I found that while putting my hands on the mat they instantly got warmer from the not very breathable material - which was regular PVC by the way. So unfortunately it's barely to count as a yoga mat! A yoga mat that you can't do a dog pose on is not a toga mat!

So unfortunately the abilicia yoga mat gets the lowest of the lowest grade of only one heart out of five!

On the other hand when I contacted sportamore.se about returning the mat they were stars about it! They answered me within an hour and immediately apologized for the inconvenience and wondered if I wanted a refund or another mat. Of course they also pay for the return postage :)
so to the sportamore.se service I have to give 4 out of five hearts!

Unfortunately I have to remove one heart for the abnormally huge package they sent me with the yoga mat, but other than that - perfect service :)

So now I'm going to have to try out another mat, wonder what it'll be next time...
And for now I'm going to have to keep on doing my yoga on the floor.
