Dublin (part 14) - Braveheart, Ps I love you and the guinness lake

The Wild wiklow tours that I began telling you about in part 13 of the Dublin chronicles continues!

The wheels on the buss went round, round, round and soon we were in the mountains of Glendalough
The guide (and also the driver. multitasking ftw) told us that in one of these valeys they filmed the braveheart movie. I didn't get a good picture of it though because he just swished past it with the buss. But I haven't even seen the braveheart movie so I guess it doesn't matter haha!

Then we stopped by a bridge that was in the PS I love you film. Both robert and I love that film (Probably me a tiiiiiny bit more than him. Or a lot) so it was a bit more fun. The buss stopped there for a few minutes so we took a few pictures:

Me sitting on the Ps I love you bridge ^-^ Is it just me or does my legs look long again? Yay ^-^
Well at least I was having fun ;)

And of course you need a kiss picture in front of that bridge! Not that you can actually see the bridge in that picture though :P
Underneath the bridge

Climbing in heels on slipper stones, and finally I got out there ;)
The thing about the Ps I love you bridget though is that it was pretty and all, but I had no recollection of a bridge in the movie, except the bridge her mom and her stand on when she gets the last letter from him. This obviously was not that bridge since I was in ireland. This bridge is apparently from the beginning of the movie when they walk along the national park road and talk. I think. Anyway, we were there.

Then the bus wheeled on and we went to the guinness lake:

The lake is there behind us. And yes, as you can see by my hair it was superwindy. I was just lucky that the hair wasn't in my face on the photo.

And that, right there is why it's called the guinness lake. It's supposed to look like the froth on a guinness beer. The little sandy beach thing. In reality it kind of looked like guinness beer, but not as much on camera I think. I guess you have to go there yourselves to see it ;)

Dublin (Part 13) - Picture bomb from the beginning of the wild wiklow tour.

The last day of my second Dublin trip Robert took a day off from school and we decided to go on the highly rated Wild Wiklow Tour!

Basically it's a short tour of Dublin's city center before rolling off to Glendalough (did I spell that right? Lol! Had to triplecheck) and Wiklow. We got to see some weird museum by the sea, beautiful scenery, the place where braveheart and Ps I love you were filmed, the guiness lake an old monastery and so on! The tour was an all-day though so I have like a million pictures, so I'm going to have to separate it into two or three posts I think so it's not too long! But I'm not going to spoil it all too much by talking, so here you go: A picture bomb!

The baka (japanese for stupid) couple!

For this picture above to make sense Ihave to tell you something. First of all, it's a person bathing with a swimming cap on. Second, it was a supercold windy day at about 8 degrees celcius? Still wondering why I took a picture of this crazy person? :P

Because sometimes you just can resist the urge.
Robert tried to feel the water temperature without getting wet haha.

Irish art in the museum by the sea. Yeah, that's right. "art".

Whut? I.... I don't even.

When we rolled in to this first café stop the guide said that this place took their gardening seriously (he referred to the huge trees) but robert heard that they take their "guarding" seriously, so he kept looking around for guards, fences or security haha!

Then we found these adorable cups at the cafébreak! I so wanted the squirrel one! (And the lion one for robert) But it was kind of expensive, I didn't have too much room in my bag, and also... I should stop buying cups... I don't have anymore room in my cupboard haha!
My handsome boyfriend <3

Another proof that they took their gardening seriously.

The bridge reminded us of a swedish fairy tale called "bockarna bruse" (The Bruse goats). or those of you that don't know the story it's still a pretty nice bridge to look at ;)

That was the first part of the wild wiklow tours, next up is the mountains of glendalough, where the braveheart and Ps I love you movie was filmed, the guiness lake and so much more :) But this post is getting long so I will end it here. I don't have all day - I have to go study!! ^-^

Dublin (part 12) - Wandering around on my own

And then it was Monday in Dublin and Robert had to go to School :C So, there I was, all alone in Dublin. Then what do you do? You walk around and look around of course :D
The Sakura trees from before was starting to wither :C But even laying on the ground they're beautiful <3

Typical thing to find in Ireland no? He was really nice too. Waved at the camera and all ^-^<3

Then I decided to go shopping ^-^Or at least winow shopping. And suddenly I found this:
Suuuuuper big hair bun donut!! It may be hard to see in the picture but try to compare with my hand. It was like 12cm across or something! Plus super-high at the same time :O When I get longer hair so I can sport one of these I will definitely buy and have it right on top of my head. Would be so cute <3

After that I went looking for a sun hat for this summer. After all it will be like 35-40 degrees in the sun in Asia and I don't want a boiling brain lol! So yeah, I really need a sun hat. I walked in to Accessorize, which always has cute stuff and is one of my favourite stores <3
Hat no 1

Hat no 2

Hat no 3
In the ed I did buy one of them (though I ordered from the online shop because I needed time to think about which one I wanted the most first).

Which one do you think I bought?

Which one is your favorite? ^-^<3

Dublin (part 11) - Climbing and laughing

After eating crepes we walked over the canal in the sun towards a a little shop that robert wanted to show me. It wasn't really anything special though. He lured me on saying it was a vintage shop, but it was more of a bohem shop with inscence and stuff. Not that it bad, but I reeeeally love vintage. And no offense to my sweetie, but there's a pretty huge difference :P

While in this weird bohem/wicca market thingy there were cafés and also this guy singing and playing piano. He was pretty good and played a catchy tune, so we sat down for a little while.

In the evening we had planned to go with Roberts roomie sara and her parents to a comedy club that was free and supposedly pretty good. But before that robert wanted to make a trip to the climbing center so we hurried home to switch clothes (or he did, I decided not to climb because it was kind of expensive and we didn't have much time for climbing so it didn't feel worth it. Robert of course has a monthly card or something so it didn't cost him).

As you can see, he's pretty good. Like a little climbing monkey lol! When we got there a few of his climbing buddies were also there so we invited them to the comedy club later that evening and some of them decided to come :)

After the climbing we went to the comdey club and listened to a few different comedians. it was sp awesome! They were really good even though it was free! And we even got free ice cream to celebrate the (aparently for once) sunny weather!

The best comedian there was the host. He joked about every country represented in the audience since there were a lot of tourists and it was super funny!
The whole gang there that night. Me, Robert and his climbing buddies as well as sara and her parents :)

Dublin (Part 10) - Eating crepes like a baws!

Okay so this will be a short post. I have a lot of pictures from th 19th of may (which would be my third day in dublin and a sunday) but I don't have time to upload them all (I gotta go to bed! Early day tomorrow again :P) so I will just make a short post from our crêpe eating.

Basically on that sunday we were out trying on backpacks and looking for gear for our asia trip and I saw this awesome creperie!!

They had these awesome lights in the roof. It kind of made me happy.... Also Robert was being cute :)
 1. First step was to put out the pancake batter and swirl it out into a circle with some kind of tool.
 2. Then you flip the pancake over and put on a lot of nutella.... mmm that's right Nutella cream on a hot pancake.. <3
 3. Then he quickly sliced half a banana on the crepe. He had to be super quick or he would burn the other side of the pancake!!
4. Then he put on some chopped strawberries and icing sugar. Looks good doesn't it?
5. And then finally he folds it over, makes a little wedge so he can fold it over again and then puts it in the little container so you can eat it without getting burned.
The place that we got the crepes - A place called Gino's. They also sold ice cream, but you know, crepes is da bomb! I don't know why we don't have crepes on the side of the road like this in sweden! It's so super delish!

Robert and me trying out the crepe. And it tastes just like it did when I first tasted it in Japan, except I think it was a little more filling in the japanese versions. Either way the nutella and banana combo was awesome! The strawberries weren't missplaced either. Can't someone get me a crepe-stand like this in Stockholm. Please!?
