New nails

Hello again sweets. Now i'm done with my last lesson for this semester! Now it's only exam studying left. But before that i'm going to go to the gym for another work out :) I just wanted to throw in some pictures of my nails that i did yesterday:

It's a pretty simple design with two different colors and white dots on top. But i like it anyway :)

Friendly (and pink) gifts ♥

So I've been playing around a lot with my new camera, and then I remebered that I haven't showed you the other gifts I recieved for my birthday - the ones I got from my friends <3

So I picked up my camera and tried to remedy that ;)

 The card I got with the presents from Camilla, erika and their boyfriends :) It says "21 years. Congratulations! Hope you have a fantastic birthday! Now it's a whole year until next time! Hugs! ♥ From Lilla my (Camilla), Erika, Unicorn(charlie) :) (and) Christian."

In the packages that came with the card I got a cute tray, three cute sprinkles containers with mini meringues, mini hearts and strawberry pearls. I also got a pretty pink cake tray with a lid, but it had to stay at my parents house for now since I don't have anywhere to put it yet :( I still have a shared kitchen and so I don't want to put it there. But I will have it on my table in the new apartment I'll get after summer :) ♥

 From Cecilia who had just been overseas I got a little bag with goodies from Victoria's Secret. A pair of panties, a nailpolish and nailpolish removal ♥  I really do wish we had a Victoria's secret here in sweden. I've been online on their webshop and they have such a crazy amount of cute and sexy clothes! (Especially underwear ♥)

 Close up on the nail polish. It's a pretty lilac color from the Color craze nail polish series. It says it had hardeners in it. Wonder if it will make my nails harder then? Also from L.A. Colors.

From Ellen and her boyfriend I received a cute little necklace from urban outfitters with my initial (S for Syrena which is my real name. Yes with a Y. No I didn't misspell my own name, it's just spelled like that lol.)

Short message to my friends: Thanks again to my sweetheart friends who decided to buy me presents even though I always tell them they don't need to :) ♥ And once again thank you for coming to celebrate with me, I love you all ♥

mini b-day party

I just got back from a mini birthday party with some friends here in Örebro. Though it was more just like a regular chill evening. But that's good, I kind of prefer it that way ^-^

We ate toast and ice cream and talked about all kinds of stuff throughout the evening. I must say it feels nice to finally get some time to spend with my classmates here in örebro. Usually I go back to stockholm every weekend to meet with robert, but now that he's in dublin I'm spending more time here and so I have more time to spend with my classmates. I miss robert a lot, but it's also good for me to be able to be here and get to know everyone a little bit more ~~ <3

Speaking of the trolls (in swedish we say that instead of speak of the devil) I'm going to call him now and then go to bed. It's an early morning tomorrow with a seminar and then practical work before I run of to stockholm for my birthday weekend ^-^

A simple but elegantnaildesign

Today i decided to paint my nails a bit and decided to go for an old design favourite of mine that is simple yet elegant.

Very subtle pink with tiny white flowers <3 I like this look a lot and i think it would be even prettier with some nail pearls, but i don't have tht stuff right now. I'm going to buy it one of these days. Especially since all my nails (even on my thumbs) are growing out long now when i don't bite anymore :) (yep! I did it! And so far so good!)

I'm still trying to get used to having nails that are in the way all the time lol!

And having to file them down all the time. Geez they grow too fast!! Almost feel like it's all i do haha :)

But they look nice and it's been a bad habit of mine for so long so I'm kind of proud that I'm not biting them anymore.

Now i just need to keep them that way <3

DIY overnight haircurlers - Video of the day

As you already now by now as I have been constantly mentioning it - my hair is finally getting better after years of coloring and bleaching (You know what? Maybe I have some old pictures to show you in my archive somewhere... But that will have to wait for now) and so I've been thinking that now maybe I can finally DO STUFF with my hair. Like curl it. I LOVE curly hair but it's been almost impossible to curl my hair in the rubber-like condition it was in before.

But now that my hair is getting better I also don't want to ruin it by using heat curlers (i e. curling irons and such) so, I started looking into non-heat curling methods a while back. I found a method i liked and bought a few pairs of a certain curling product on ebay ( I ordered them the other day so I will show you when they arrive)

But then, today I went on to youtube for some reason and found this on my wall:




It's from the beautiful and talented DIY-tuber SecretLifeOfaBioNerd. She is absolutey awesome and she's obviously at my youtube wall when I log in because I am subscribing to her channel! Either way it's DIY hair curlers! And they seem pretty cool!! Maybe I should have tried this, after all I have a shitload of wash-sponges haha! But for now I'm going to see if the thingies I bought works, otherwise I will definitely try this! //Wayu

Silky smooth salon hair

I'm back from the salon and so i now i have silky smooth beautiful hair, only about 5cm shorter and finally my hair is all healthy again except for a few patches of tips on my left side that we will get rid of next visit. That means finally being able to start growing out beautiful healthy hair! I probably never had that!

And not only is my hair smooth and shiny i've also got my broken front on the iphone fixed! So right now all is well in my little la la land ;)

Right now i'm at the hair salon waiting for my hairdresser and eating chocolate easter eggs. i'm getting a haircut today, trimming the tips a bit.

Ego

Today I woke up with wavy, almost curly hair in some places. It made me really happy since I used to have wavy/curly hair when I was little, but it all went to hell when I bleached and colored my hair.

I think it might just be a sign of it getting back on healthier tracks :)

Also, is my face getting a little slimmer? :) (yay!)

Lace and heart nail design

Once again it's time for one of my cute naildesigns!
I really like this one since it's cute and has a lot of colors - and it's not that hard to do either.

I got to get myself an art liner and some dotting tools though - it will all be much easier that way!

Miraculous fix for broken nails

So i broke my nail earlier today.
I have finally managed to grow them out so i didn't want to have to cut it off, so i thought maybe it's fixable somehow?

I looked around the internet and it turns out there's quite few versions. I tried one with glue, an empty tea bag an base/top coat.

So how do you do it?

1. Cut out a piece of the empty tea-bag as big as your nail and drench it in glue (i also drenched my nail a bit.

2. Let it dry a bit. cut off any part that is outside your nail as close to your nail as possible.

3. Put three coats of top or base coat on you nail. Let it dry between each coat.

4. Tadaaaah! Now you've got a nail that is whole again and looks something like this:

It looks a little weird but don't worry! As soon as it dries you can put on a coat of your favourite nailpolish and your nail will almost look normal :)

God-frickin'-damnit!

All i have to say is OUCH!

I just broke my nail. It's a first for me since i usually don't have nails that are long enough to break. Actually this one wouldn't have broken either, except
I had gotten a chip on the side from a sharp object at work a few days ago.

Even though it did hurt it still didn't hurt as badly as i thought after seeing all those bimbo-movies haha!

I wonder if you can fix broken nails or if i just have to cut it off.

Ego-hair pics

When i woke up this morning and combed my hair i suddenly noticed how silky it's gotten! I really think it's getting better so i had to take a few pictures of myself with my glossy glossy hair ;)

I'm still thinking about whether to cut my hair once or twice before our long backing trip, but i haven't decided yet.

Either way i'm so happy it's becoming pretty again!! It has even started to curl and wave a bit in some places! Just like when i was little! Love it :)

Cutesy hair-bun day

I just got back from the store where I bought some blueberries and a lemon. Why you ask? Well today me and some classmates are baking muffins :) 

Tried to take a picture of the bun on my way to the store, but the wind and snow was way too strong so I couldn't keep my eyes open :P

Since we're baking today and my hair was all over the place when I woke up I wanted to put up my hair in a bun so that it wouldn't be in the way. While I was at it I put a purple bow in the side of it. Turned out pretty cute no?

I had a little more luck with keeping my eyes open at home - unfortunately the light wasn't as strong.

As you can see my hair has a tendency to stray, frizz and fly off in different directions - there's not much I can do about that. I still have my baby-hair left haha! (Or angel hair as my mother calls it)

I don't mind though - I kind of think the angel ir is cute too in it's own way :)

Nail Design

Now that I'm slowly giving up biting my nails, I can finally start to play with painting my nails again. I love japanese nail art, but since I usually have such short nails I have never really had a chance to play with it. I'm thinking of buying some more fun tools for nail art along the way, but for now I'm just going to play around with simple designs for a bit like this one that I did yesterday:

It's been a while since I've painted my nails and using my left hand to paint small dots on my right hand nails really is hard! I have to become better at using my left hand.

Pencil Trolls

Anyone remember these cuties?

They were pretty popular in sweden when I was a child and is called "penntroll" or pencil trolls in english. Basically it's plastic trolls with really unruly hair in different colours with a big hole in their ass where you shove up a pencil. Then they sit there on your pencil with a weird euforic face ;)  I don't know why they became so popular, really, but they were cute, had different colors and you could collect them - so we did.

Either way, they're really cute and all, but their hair is what singles them out. Their a special race of trolls - pencil trolls.

Well today, I woke up as a pencil troll.

So I guess I just wanted to inform you about the fact that I've joined the pencil troll race and may start sitting on your pencils in the near future.

It's just in my nature now.

A short nail update

So you guys remember my New years resolutions? well, one of them was to gradually stop biting my nails.
Now, i've been biting my nails for as long as i can remember (i think when i was little i even bit my toenails at some point!), and i've quit many times, sometimes for months, but one way or another i always fall back to biting.

I've tried every method in the book, including stopping abruptly, focusin my hands on something else, painting my nails with nailpolish, painting my nails with that aweful tasting junk that you get used to after a week or so.
Nothing has ever worked in the long run. So, this time when i decided to quit again i looked nailbiting up online and tried to find a way that has worked for other people. I found a version that is a step by step course to stop biting your nails, basically to stop biting on one nail at a time while still biting on the others until finally there's no nails left to bite on. For now i've managed to stop biting on three nails on my left and four on my right, so i only have three nails left until completion of the course!

This is how my right hand looks right now. :) pretty good no?

I've noticed i don't bite the "available" nails as often as i did before either so it might be a good sign.

Either way it's going good. Soon i'll start playing with painting my nails again <3

So now i'm done at the hair salon :)

And no it didn't take three hours.

It took a little bit over and hour or something like that, but then i decided to visit my parents. You see they have both gotten sick :( seems like a nasty flu.

Since they are sick there won't be any sunday dinner tomorrow so i decided to visit them today instead to see how they were doing. They were pretty down, but they can still always talk, so i sat with them and talked a bit, aired out the apartment for them and nagged on them that they had to eat haha :)

But now, i'm finally on my way back to Robert's place ^^

Oh and i promised to post an "after picture" for my hair right?

So there it is :) she cut quite a bit of my hair. A wholesome four centimeters of the length :)

Before my hair was kind of in three parts - the bubble gum textured bleached hair, the bleached but still kind of okay hair, and the good hair, now we have finally cut of the last piece of the bubble gum hair and that's also why i asked her to cut of so much - i really wanted for the worst hair to finally be gone!

So now, there's only about 6 cm of the so-so hair left in the tips, and then, i'll finally have only my healthy natural hair left! And then, i can finally start saving my hair to be long again :)

It will be great!

Time for a haircut!

I'm right now on my way to my hairdresser for my regular haircut. She's really taken care of my hair so well, it's not much of the bleached dry hair left, only a few centimeters left, and then i'll have all smooth and nice hair again ^^ <3 data-blogger-escaped-br="">

I must though say that i think my hair looks pretty good already (compared to before), so i can't wait to see how it looks when it's healthy all the way from root to tip!

Not dead

Helle again blog, long timme no see.No i'm not dead, i've just been celebrating christmas with my and roberts family and i just haven't had any time to write a blog post. Really, i think it's mostly cause i have been busy with the fun, but also because i've been wanting to try adsense for some time now, but getting approved is very difficult. So i asked for help at the adsense forum and i received tips on how to get approved. Of course no one could guarantee anything but i tried out their tips. Turns out though it doesn't seem to work. But while trying to please adsense i have changed a bit of my writing, i have started posting reslly long posts and skipped the small updates even though i kind of like them.

 I never thought i would earn any big bucks on it, but as you all know i like to try things out and well trying out adsense is high on my list.

 Either way i will try to get some time to write retrospectively of my christmas days, i've taken a lot of photos and a lot of fun stuff have happened, i just need time to write it down.For now i'm going to continue watching drop dead diva with my family.

My hair has really grown out a lot by the way.

Playing around

Playing around a little with my red wig. One of these days I'm actually going to wear it outside haha x'3
But for now, I just use it at home from time to time when I feel like having red hair again. I'm after all letting my own hair rest for now, so I made a pact with my hair not to color it for at least another year </3 *sigh*

A wig is probably better than me coloring, after all I change what kind of hair color I want pretty often, but you can't color your hair too often between colors, especially if you like red. Red is a bitch to get out of blond hair :P

But oh well, today I'll be playing with red hair a bit :)
