We arrived in Mandalay early in the morning and shared a taxi to the hostel area with the belgian couple. Our mission - to find a hotel for under 20 dollars/night.
We finally found a hotel that would let us stay for 18 dollars/ night. The price included sleeping on the roof with the room facing the sunny side, a shared bathroom and a small fan.
Once we settled Robert realized he must have dropped his phone on the bus while tossing and turning from the motion sickness. We quickly went down to the lobby and called the buscompany with the help of the receptionist. We were instructed to travel to the busstation to pick up the phone and so Robert hopped on the back of a motorbike-taxi to go get it.
When Robert arrived at the busstation he realized the phone wasn't there... Apparenty the busdriver still had it and so Robert set out on an epic game of hide and seek.
Three hours later he finally caught up with the busdriver that by now was only five minutes away from our hotel.
Meanwhile Syrena had been slowly baking in the oven that was our room. Temperature inside - around 45 degrees celcius.
Both exhausted we fell asleep on the bed and slept for a good few hours.
When the sun went down we got up and chatted with some very friendly people staying at the hotel and after a few hours we went out with one of the guys for a very late dinner.
